I downloaded or purchased ready-made models and usually printed them without modifying the design

I mainly used ready-made models but resized them or made minor modifications

I frequently made substantial modifications to existing models or combined multiple designs into new creations

I mainly designed my own models from scratch

I mainly used models provided by customers, colleagues, or other people

Other (please specify)

If you used multiple methods, please select the one you used most often.

Q4. In the past 6 months, in which of the following areas have you experienced storage or organization challenges? *

Desk and office supplies — e.g., stationery, cables, and office accessories

Tools and workshop supplies — e.g., tools, hardware, and DIY components

Everyday household items — e.g., keys, remote controls, and personal items

Kitchen items and food storage — e.g., utensils, spices, and food containers

Everyday carry and travel items — e.g., charging accessories, toiletries, and travel gear

3D printing workspace and filament — e.g., filament spools, nozzles, spare parts, and printing tools

Other(please specify)

Examples include clutter, difficulty finding items, limited space, or a lack of suitable storage solutions. If more than 3 apply, select the 3 that have caused you the most difficulty.

Q4-1. If you could address the storage or organization challenges in just one area first, which would you choose? *

Desk and office supplies — e.g., stationery, cables, and office accessories

Tools and workshop supplies — e.g., tools, hardware, and DIY components

Everyday household items — e.g., keys, remote controls, and personal items

Kitchen items and food storage — e.g., utensils, spices, and food containers

3D printing workspace and filament — e.g., filament spools, nozzles, spare parts, and printing tools

Other(please specify)

Please choose one of the areas you selected in the previous question.

Q4-2. For the storage or organization area you selected in the previous question, which problems would you most like to address first? (Rank 1–3) *

Items are difficult to find or put back in their designated place

Space is not used efficiently — for example, vertical space, corners, or narrow gaps

Storage dimensions do not fit items of different sizes or shapes

The storage setup is difficult to expand or reconfigure as my needs change

The storage solution is difficult to move or carry

The appearance does not suit the space where it is used

The storage solution cannot support enough weight

The storage solution breaks or wears out too easily

The storage solution is difficult to clean

Storage components from different brands or product lines do not work together

Suitable ready-made storage solutions are too expensive

Designing or 3D printing my own storage solution takes too much time or effort

Other(please specify)

Select and rank the problems you want to address. Choose at least 1 and up to 3: rank your top priority as 1, followed by 2 and 3.

Q5. How are you currently addressing the storage or organization problem you ranked as your top priority in the previous question? *

Buying ready-made storage products — such as bins, dividers, or shelves

3D printing storage items from existing models — without changing the design, apart from resizing

Designing or modifying 3D models, then printing the storage items — beyond simply resizing

Making or adapting storage solutions using DIY methods other than 3D printing

Making do with items I already have, without a dedicated storage solution

I have not taken any action yet

Other(please specify)

If you use more than one approach, please select your main approach.

Q5-1. Do you currently use a modular storage system in this area? *

Yes, Gridfinity

No

Not sure

Yes, another modular storage system (please specify)

Q6. Thinking about the storage or organization area you selected earlier, which of the following four features is most important to you, and which is least important? Most important Least important

Modular and expandable — Add or rearrange storage modules as your needs change

Efficient use of space — Make the most of limited space, corners, or narrow gaps

Portable — Easy to carry or use in different locations

Visually appealing — Suit the surrounding space and your personal style
