[2-in-1 Filament Dryer and Storage Box Combination] Is there any way to handle drying and storage filament at the same time? SUNLU FilaDryer SP2, with efficient heating base and storage box, designed as two separated parts. Multiple storage boxes can be used as storage boxes can be freely stacked (maximum stacking of 3 is recommended) to enhance space utilization.
[Strong Sealing] The top cover and sealing bottom cover are designed with silicone, which has a good sealing effect. Whether used as a filament dryer or as a storage box, it has very good thermal insulation. When used as a storage box, it has been measured that under an average ambient humidity of about 50%, an average of about 25% humidity can be maintained inside.
[Large Internal Space and Spool Compatibility] Internal compatibility with 0.25~3kg spools, even paper spool can also be realized by fixing the spool roller. The storage box  compartment can hold two rolls of 1kg filaments, one roll of 2kg (2 rolls of 2kg filaments for SUNLU), and 3kg filaments, and supports a maximum spool diameter of 250mm and a maximum spool width of 153mm. it is compatible with both 1.75mm and 2.85mm diameter filament. Even damaged spools can be fixed with the spool roller.
[Humanized Design] The storage box part adopts the detail design of carrying handle + bottom depression, which is convenient for users to move. In addition, the storage box is equipped with an independent hygrometer for real-time observation of internal humidity changes, and 3 cable outlet holes on each side of the box to meet the printing needs of different sizes of filaments.
[Strong Safety, Stress-free Use] The triple safety design of 200W PTC + fan heating, secondary temperature protection switch and software intelligent temperature control ensures the heating process is foolproof.

The basics you need to know about SUNLU Filament Dryer SP2

1. The maximum heating temperature of SUNLU Filament Dryer SP2 is up to 70 ℃, please carefully observe the current set parameters (such as filament type, heating temperature) is consistent with the actual need to dry the filament, to avoid too high a temperature leading to deformation of the filament (filament drying temperature, recommended product manuals or this product page of the filament spool data)For example, if the machine is set to operate at ≥70°C, the temperature resistance of the spool of the filament you are using should be ≥70°C to avoid deformation of the spool.

2. When the ambient temperature is below 10℃, slow heating or the actual temperature inside the chamber being slightly lower than the displayed temperature is normal.

3. The desiccant in this product is orange at room temperature and turns dark green after absorbing moisture. It can be restored to orange by drying at 70℃ and reused.

How can I separate the storage box from the heating base? How can I use it alone to store the filament?

SP2 supports the separation of the heating base and the storage box. To keep the filaments continuously dry (to prevent secondary moisture), after the drying is completed, the cavity of the storage box can be removed, and a sealing foot pad should be installed at the bottom. At the same time, the silicone plugs of the filaments' outlet holes should be tightly inserted

1. Do not place the SUNLU Filament Dryer SP2 within the reach of children. Electrical safety should be observed during operation. Do not use this product near water, such as bathrooms, bathtubs washbasins and other places where water is easily accessible.
2. Please use the original power cord or a power cord that meets the safety certification requirements.
3. When not using this product, please turn off the power to avoid sudden fire.
4. During the working process of this product, please do not put the product on the objects which are sensitive to temperature.
5. Do not touch the heater or fan inside the box during the working process of this product to avoid burns. When drying filaments, the top cover of the drying box should be covered to avoid heat dissipation.
6. Please do not block the internal air inlet and outlet to avoid abnormal heat accumulation.
7. If the product malfunctions, please turn off the power and disconnect the power cord from the power outlet, then contact the after-sales support team (support@sunlu.com).

Can I touch the SUNLU Filament Dryer SP2 while it is working?

Even though the product is protected in many places, to avoid burns, do not touch the enclosure/handle the oven while it is in operation (or take appropriate thermal protection measures, e.g., wear insulated gloves).

Is there anything else I can do to make the drying more effective?

In order to ensure the drying effect, please do not open the upper cover of the drying box during the operation. During the drying process, it is recommended to open the silicone plug of the filament outlet hole (to let the internal moisture fully discharged); after the drying process, it is recommended to plug the silicone plug tightly (to avoid the entry of external moisture).
